We All Have A Song That's Somehow Stamped Our Lives, Takes Us To Another Place in Time.....

It really is all about the words that are said and honestly I am probably the most lyrically obessed person in the world! I love them. I find there to be no point in listening to a song if it doe snot leave you with that one line that makes you go crazy when you hear it! I can think of a million lyrics that have helped define my life better than any one liner from a show or movie. With music it is with you forever and if the song is turly perfect and well written the words just grow in instesity as you get older or find a deeper meaning with them. Either way we really do all have a song that has defined us, has helped us through a moment in our lives.... LOVE IT!

What brings this up is that I was looking up Taylor Swift lyrics at work because I am bored half out my mind and I figured it would be a good way to burn half an hour. I love her style of music, for someone who wrote most of her album at 16 this chick has talent and enough of it that it is scarry to think what amazing things will be coming out of her when she is older. But read the lyrics to this song... It is called COld As You and tell me that you never felt this same way...

You have a way of coming easily to me
And when you take, you take the very best of me
So I start a fight cause
I need to feel something
And you do what you want cause
I'm not what you wanted
[Chorus:]
Oh what a shame, what a rainy ending given to a perfect day
Just walk away, ain't no use defending words that you will never say
And now that I'm sitting here thinking it through
I've never been anywhere cold as you
You put up walls and paint them all a shade of gray
And I stood there loving you and wished them all away
And you come away with a great little story
Of a mess of a dreamer with the nerve to adore you
[Chorus:]
Oh what a shame, what a rainy ending given to a perfect day
So Just walk away, ain't no use defending words that you will never say
And now that I'm sitting here thinking it through
I've never been anywhere cold as you
You never did give a damn thing honey but
I cried, cried for you
And I know you wouldn't have told nobody if
I died, died for you, died for you
Oh what a shame, what a rainy ending given to a perfect day
Every smile you fake is so condescending
Counting all the scars you made
And now that I'm sitting here thinking it through
